SPORT AND EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES  AT ST TIERNAN'S

At St Tiernan's we have a long tradition of involvement in sports and extra curricular activities.

Boys and Girls Soccer teams compete in Football Association of Ireland School Leagues and Cups, at U15, U17 and U19 age groups.

Table Tennis Six-times All Ireland School Champions. Training every day under the supervision of several fully-qualified coaches. Students have represented Ireland at Junior Level and several boys and girls hold Leinster titles.

Hurling & Gaelic Football Teams participate in GAA School Leagues.

Athletics Students compete in Irish Schools Championships. Training with fully qualified coach each week.

Basketball and Netball are available to all students. Teams take part in CCSSCA and Netball Ireland leagues.

Olympic Handball Boys and girls particpate in IOHA (schools league competition).  Students have represented Ireland at international level.

Debating Students are actively encouraged to take part in Debating and Public Speaking competitions at Junior/Senior level. The competitions are on an internal and external inter school basis.

Badminton - available to all students.
